PROD server Dailog work process status INHOLD

Dear all,

i have checked sm50 in prod server , most of the work process shows status INHOLD .

Kindly advise

Paste the lines from work process log (which is showing Hold).

Holding what? semaphores? waiting for database locks? waiting for CPIC?

Most of the work process are "ONHOLD" and time column for each dialog work process RED .

So this means that the system is waiting for the SAPGUI to answer.

To me this sounds like a network issue (firewall etc.)

If you have one of the mentioned kernel patches you are another victim of that bug.

let me know what are things i have clarify to Network engg..

One of the SAP user got below error .

IRP: maximum work process hold time exceeded

This may be caused by networks or slow front-end systems .

let me know any issue with SAP gui patch ?

Check the network connection between the server and the client.

I have checked my sap end user system , i have tried to ping SAP server from the user system , System got repeatedly request time out error .
