How to check version of kernel?

Hi.

how can i do to check version of kernel?

Hi,

Just Login in to sap

Go to on any transaction Screen there is a menu System click on it then select status on the bottom of the status screen a arrow mark is there. click on it u can find the kernel info nd other info into that screen

start transaction sm51, select a server and press the Release Notes button.

These methods will only allow you to obtain the version information of a running kernel, the command line or Windows explorer version will also allow you to obtain the Information of any not currently running kernel.

Hi Yugay,

we have four methos,

1. at OS level just type at command prompt disp+work -v then it displays kernel version or

2. at OS level just type R3trans -t then you will get or

3.at R/3 level login into sap from System menu -> select status then click on bellow arrow mark then you will get or

4.goto SM51 T-code then click on release notes button then you will get

you have to possibilities:

1. via command prompt: dispwork.exe (short version) or dispwork.exe -V (with PL description).

2. starting with ABAP Server 640, with the Windows Explorer, right click on disp+work.exe, Properties, Version tab, Item: Product Version
