The following error is appearing when Im trying to schedule the online backup

check sapnote #583861 and #651351. The described procedures should solve your problem.

Hi stefan/sunny,

I have followed the notes as given by you.

All the directories/files/permissions are intact.

I would like to share something more .Last week we had a problem in SAN storage area and all the servers got rebooted during the online back.So the db12 is still showing as follows

Last unsuccessful backup : 24.07.2010 23:55:41 RC: 9999

and log is held up at

(pasted only the last part of the log )

Have you gone through the SAP Notes 1041 and 1042.

If any process hung at OS level, just kill that process and restart.

if you had SAN issues, I would simply reboot the Unix server.

Hi,

This type of error comes generally because of wrong permission on brtools and oracle binary executable's. So, check SAP note 583861and 651351.
