I need information about Web dynpro ABAP Exception : ICF Service Node

I need information about Web dynpro ABAP Exception :

ICF Service Node "/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/abcd/undefined" does not exist.

Here abcd is application name.

ICF Service Node exists and activated but kindly let me know from where "undefined" is coming .

Please let me know your comments /views about this.

Hi,

The services are active and for most of the users it seems fine. There is not really some kind of logic that explains why it isn't working for some users and it isn't for others.

Hope someone experienced the same issue and got it solved. Otherwise I will have to open OSS-call...

Did you find the resolution for this? We also are experiencing the same symptoms after EHP4 upgrade to backend and EHP1 upgrade to portal. Thanks,

No solution yet. The weird thing is that altough these shortdumps in the backend our users don't seem to get any error messages in the front-end (ABAP WD in Portal). So we haven't raised an OSS-message yet since it doesn't seem to have any business impact...

Did you verify with users for whom these errors are generated if they experience problems in these transactions ?

Hi,

I think ur webdynpro service is not active after upgradation.

You have manually activate it.

Go go Tcode SICF,Execute the Initial screen,

and in this new screen give service as your application name and click on filter.

You will get your service below which will be ur application name .

right-Click on the deactivate and activate it or just activate it,.

Hi,

Anyone who has a solution for this problem ? We experience this after upgrade of backend to EHP4 and Portal to EHP1. Strange thing is that the issue only pops up on production and only for some users...
