Dear Gurus,
No data is getting collected after activating trace in ST05.
Are there any profile parameters to switch on the "Switch On trace functionality" in ST05?

Dear Juan,
I was not able to view any gathered data though the TRACE file was present. But after I renamed the TRACE file from /usr/sap/...../work, I am able to view the gathered data!!
Any suggestions on this behavior?
Nevertheless, since my problem is resolved, I am marking this question as resolved
Thanks again for your support and time

Thanks for your time Juan
There should be no problem in filters / scope as I have tried many multiple combination
I have checked the profile parameters as well. They are as mentioned below. But I was not able to find couple of below mentioned parameters in Instance profile
rstr/max_files 99
rstr/max_diskspace 99
rstr/max_lock_try 500
rstr/stacksize 10
I have even tried giving 777 to work directory
Any suggestions?

There is no error reported. When I click 'Display trace" it says that no trace exists to display
I do not have any dialogue server

Theres not enough info here to help you... if you are getting no data from the trace most likely is because what you're looking for is out of the scope of the trace or you are not using the filters correctly.

ST05 -> Edit -> Display profile parameter for Trace
Additional to that when the trace is enables it should create a TRACE file in your instance work directory. So check if thats happening.

Juan
Hi,
Do you have Dialog instances on your system ?
ST05 is not a system wide transaction. You have to activate ST05 on the instance server on which the program you want to trace is running.
