Issue has been resolved after given permission 0777 for oracle/SID/sapreorg

Hi,

Your post says that the BRBackup has completed successfully but the archive backup fails.

From the error log, it is inferred that BRTools expects the tape volume in the mount point /dev/rmt3 as mentioned in the backup profile.

Make sure that the mount point is the same for both brbackup and brarchive in the backup profile init<SID>.sap.

Hope this will resolve your issue.

Hi,

The error code 13 means permission issue. Check whether the brtools executables have permission 775. If not set it to 775 and then execute the brarchie again.

Hi Sathish,

Check the permissions of /oracle/IRD/sapreorg.

It should be writable for ora<sid> user.

Also confirm the permissions of BRTools as per the below note:

[113747 - Permissions for DBA tools BR*Tools and SAPDBA|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/113747]

brarchive, brbackup, and brconnect should have permission set to 4775

Regards.
