03 - Ins. lot

Hi All -

We are using 03 - inspection type for in-process inspection. However, we don't want system to automatically create IL when process order is created.

Is there any way to prevent this in automatic inspection lot creating for 03 inspection lot.

Another option for in-process inspections would be to use inspection type 89. The problem with that is that I have not found a way to enter a process order when creating the inspection lot manually. There is obviously a field for process order, but it is not available for this inspection type. If we use this inspection type, we will need to maintain multiple inspection plans per material because it uses a different task list.

Hi,

if u r using 03 inspection type for inprocess inspection & u do not want to create lot autamatically then I think it is not possibe.

You can notcreate any manual lot with reference to process order.

At the most what u can do in custamizing confirmation paramter OPK4 u can give setting no message if no inspection result.

So that u can at least do confirmation without taking result.or u can cancel that lot also.

Thank you very much for the response,

My issue was resolved. The solution what was recommended is set-up material master with 04 inspection type which will be used for creating IL after production GR as well as manual IL creation using QA01 transaction code without material. This would avoid me using 03 IL which automatically creates IL when process order is created.

I did not get the exact requirement.....actually i03 is automatically created inspection lot as its not against any GR document like 04.

Either remove 03 & Create manually like 89 as you said.
