Prompted for CRM logon in MS apps

Former Member

When copying text in CRM such as an email address from a contact and pasting into outlook, word or excel we get prompted to login to CRM. Workaround has been to first paste it into notepad and then from there into outlook\excel\word. Is this security causing the logon prompt coming from the MS apps? Is there a "Trusted Site" list in thes MS apps that would eliminate the logon prompts?

Thank You,

Alex

Hi,

I doubt that you can fix this on CRM side. For some reason Mircorsoft Office needs to logon to CRM after interpreting CRM formating of selected text. You don't have to use notepad as workaround. There is afunction Paste Special (shortcut Ctrl + Alt + v in Office 2007) which allows you to choose format of pasted text. The format "Unformatted Text" is what you are looking for. You can even find a macro on Google which you can link to shortcut to avoid pop up with format selection.

Cheers
