backup settings in MaxDB Database Studio

Hi @all,

I use under Linux the MaxDB Databasestudio 7.7. How can I save the settings from "my landscape" I have create there a large list from Systems.

For those who are following this thread, I created a document explaining how to manually import a landscape in Database Studio as of version 7.9.08.11 here:

These settings are all stored in the .UMDB maxdb instance (which is local on the server you run the DB studio on).

No feature for export or transport available though.

There is a feature "in progress" for sharing landscape logon data and settings, but this is not yet rolled out to public.

Are we working on islands so everybody needs to spent hours to enter big landscapes over and over again?

I can't believe this is still true in 2013.

Hello Christian,

As this lanscape import features is still under development,

If you are a SAP customer, In special cases, if you have a very large number of databases managed  with the DBStudio and the move to another host cannot be avoided, you can create a CSS message and contact the SAP MaxDB Development support for help.
