Hello,

Production order date mismatch between ECC & R/3

Back Ground :

1.If in the Routing we have operations 10,20,30,40,50,60,70,80,90,100

2.Only Operations which have run time are cifed to APO depending on Control key (ie operations :20 40 ,60) and scheduling relevent

3.Que time is maintained in Work center and work center is assigned to 10,20,30,40,60,90 operations

4.Operations are start - Finish relation ship

5.All calenders ,resources and master data in sync

6.Using PDS

Questions :

4.The Production order dates don't match in ECC & APO ?

1.When all the operations are not cified to APO ,will the Basic dates match for Prod Order in ECC & APO?

2.How does the above basic date calculation work,when orders are converted in R/3?

3.would APO use PDS to Recalculate calculate the lead time ignoring the basic dates send from R/3 for Production orders(Converted in R/3)?

Please let me know if need to check some other config points

The dates will not match btw APO and ECC , reason being the dates are scheduled again in APO starting from the first operation based on the PDS and the resource calendar in APO.

I am assuming your requirement is to match the dates btw R3 and APO: You can do this by using an user exit on APO inbound side which will send the status of the Production Order as "SCHEDULED", this will prevent the date rescheduling in APO.

APO production order will be created based on whatever dates you have in ECC(excluding the missing operations).

This is just a suggestion as we dont know your entire business requirement.

3.How does the above basic date calculation work,when orders are converted in R/3?

I am assuming you are talking about the planned order conversion to a PRODUCTION ORDER in R3.

The planned order created by APO will have say 10,30,40 operations based on PDS explosion, when these are sent to R3, there is a (BOM explosion+Routing) when conversion takes place into a Production Order.

The ECC production order will have all the operations from the Routing.

4.would APO use PDS to Recalculate calculate the lead time ignoring the basic dates send from R/3 for Production orders(Converted in R/3)?

I dont remember the exact user exit.

Pls check the below note and the relevant notes mentioned-- one of them has the user exit.

Note 579495 - R/3->APO: Transfer of DSEX status on the operation

Please check 586685 which provide details of the user exit /SAPAPO/CL_EX_CIF_IP to be used. Also check notes 572644 and 579758.
