Hi Experts,
I have a strange situation when I choose the Signature Theme. Everything goes almost black in the Logon pad and also in the Configurator. Please see a screenshot in the below link. The other themes are working fine

I have just installed patch 1 for 7.20 (running on Win7) but that didn't help.
Any sugestions?
Thanks in advance //Anders
This is a known issue with SAP signature design and it is not a bug but a resource issue.
Usually this type of issue occurs where the machine in question is
running out of resources (e.g. memory), the black saplogon is a typical
lacking resources symptom. This may then disappear when you close
applications and free up resources again.
Please see page 5 of note 26417 for details on signature design under
"SAP GUI for Windows Release 7.10 and 7.20 using SAP Signature Design"
This explains why this issue is happening in this design.
I would like to advise that you monitor the free resources of the
machine, if this is indeed a resource problem as all point towards,
please add more memory to the workstation.
please check the TASKMANAGER of this client when this problem
occure! Please look in the Processes TAb at the CPU, MEM Usage, GDI
Objects and check if there is any value very high and make a Screenshot
It could be an administrative issue (user rights). Please see note 622135. Ensure that users
have neccessary authorizations.
I normally recommend to change theme to Enjoy for intance and check if the issue
persist.

I was having the same issue with the signature theme no matter what SAPGUI patch level I was at. I went all the way to the recently released SAPGUI 7.20 patch level 3 with no luck.

I installed SP3 of MSXML4 from the Microsoft website and the problem no longer occurs on Signature theme.
good luck...

Hello
!!!!!!!
WINDOWS 7 HOME : Is not supported
!!!!!!
Please only use professionell version of MS Windows !
Most of the problems with black bars are solved with a new graphic card driver.
Also please try to deactivate the hardware acceleration of the graphic card.
Are there then also the black bars in the sap logon?
regards,
Sven

Hi,
i've saw this in case of less memory ! specially on unix workstations. could it be that your environment doesn't fit. When you close all open applications, and restart the saplogon as the only application appears it also ?

HI,
No, I have not been into the registry for any kind of cleanup at all but yes, I have re-installing SAP Gui from scratch for at least 4-5 times.
I got a new laptop with a fresh Windows 7 64-bit installation 2 weeks ago and it's working again.
But I still have some clients with the exact same problem. Please let me know what to check in the registry

Anders -
I have seen this before. One user was resolved by... change the theme to something other such as Enjoy. Verify things look correct for that theme. close SAP and Logon pad, change back to Signature theme and try again. Not sure why but it worked.
Good luck.

Zecher
