Hello,
In the settlement of an investment measure we need that the system uses the historical Exchange rate from the posting rate for each line item.
Currently, if an investment measure has postings with the transaction currency other than the company code currency, when the order /WBS element is settlement, the local currency value is taken based on the exchange rate of value date.
For example,
Company Code currency: ARS
Transaction currency: USD
In the order we have the following postings:
- Line Item 1:
Value in Transaction amount: 100 USD
Value in Object Currency: 330 ARS
Exchange Rate: 3, 3
- Line Item 2:
Value in Transaction amount: 100 USD
Value in Object Currency: 340 ARS
Exchange Rate: 3, 4
When you carry out periodic settlement, the system uses the exchange rate valid on the value date of the settlement for the translation of all values.
In the example, the Exchange rate valid on the date of the settlement is 3, 94.
As result the local currency amount is 170, 05 USD ((330 ARS + 340 ARS) / 3, 94)
Is it possible that the system uses the historical Exchange rate from the posting rate for each line item, that is, 100 USD (line items 1) + 100 USD (line item 2) = 200 USD for the amount of local currency?
Thanks a lot!
Best Regards!
Karen
I checked in SAP HELP, it says for line item settlement it takes historical exchange rate and for summary settlement it takes the exchange rate valid on the value date of the settlement. So, try with line item settlement and also go through SAP HELP files for more details.
