I am new to working with the SAP Content server and would appreciate some advice and inputs.
We would like to be able to attach documents (word, pdf etc) in transactions PA30, ME23 and such using 'Services for Object'. I understand by default the attachments are saved in the SAP database. We would like to be able to save them in an external storage and be able to search and retrieve.
I have done the following so far:
Installed Apache Web Server, SAP Content Server, Cache server, MAXDB database and setup contrep file system
In a SAP ECC system, CSADMIN, defined content repositories for MaxDB and File Storage on the content server.
What Next?
In SPRO which customizing is appropriate for my situation, KnowledgeProvider(do i need to do both DMS and CMS or just DMS) or Document Management?
Which is the right SPRO path to follow.
