What if the Approver is the Initiator?

Hi All,

When we define a workflow in CUP or ERM, what do we do when one of the approvers itself initiates request? As I understand the initiator cannot be the approver. So then tomorrow there is the following situation

Worflow for New Role Creation:

Stage 1: Initiator

Stage2: Manager(approver 1)

Stage 3: Role Owner ( Approver 2)

Stage 4: Security Admin

if one of the role owner initiates a request for creation of new role how will the workflow work?

Hi,

The wording should be requestor not initiator. But if the approver is the requestor then the approver still needs to approve the request when it gets routed to them for approval.

Hello ,

The workflow still works in the same way, the approver ( initiator - in this case) will still get the request in his queue for approval which needs to be approved .
