Hello guys,
we have installed some patch for PI 7.1, and now when I try to enter in ESR or Integration Builder we obtain this message.
When I try again we obtain the same message. I am not using Java Web Start, we are using JRE1.6 with PI 7.1 and now we can not access to PI.
Do you know how we can solve it?
Many thanks in advance.
Regards,
Xavi.
hi,
i also faced this issue many times, but stil coudn't find the exact reason
but , i used to do the following to get rid of it.
1) go to run-> type javaws/javaws -viewer
and go to preferences and delte the client files
then start ESR and ID again.. it may work..

Hi Xavi,
For PI 7.1 try using the Java Version 1.5.
From Control Panel, go to Java -> General tab, Temporary Internet Files
-> View... -> Delete all the content there.
Then go to:
> Integration buider page http://<host>:<port>/rep
> Administration
> Tab - Directory (Repository as well)
> Java Web Start Administration
> Restore Archives and Generate New Signature
Let us know if helped.

Hi,
thanks a lot. That worked for SAP .inlp and jar Signatures.
I additionally made some tests on Solaris with an Apache and found out that many users do forget to make their Apache able to deal with jpnl files and wonder why Java-Web-Start is not initiated - though they enabled their browsers correctly.
mime.types
application/x-java-jnlp-file jnlp
httpd.conf
AddType application/x-java-jnlp-file .jnlp
AddType application/x-java-archive .jar
AddType application/x-java-archive-diff .jardiff
Here the jar. Signatures play an important role too.
I tested Java-Web-Start Browser on Win Server 2008, 2003, Win7, Linux and Solaris:
Flock, Seamonkey, Mozilla, Firefox, Crome, Opera, Netscape, Internet Explorer, Safari - and all worked fine.
Best regards

one of the easiest fix is to uninstall JDK and reinstall it.
