As from SP17 sap provides you two new attributes for the processing of IDoc acknowledgments in XI.

see NOTE 920860.

I have not worked on SP17 . But I think the Basic principle would remain the same.

There are ack pdf on SDN that you can refer to.

it was changed a little bit:

<b>Restoring Original Partners for Acknowledgments</b>

If you set the relevant indicator, the original partners from the IDoc request message are used for acknowledgments. This means you no longer have to maintain the alternative identifiers (for party conversion) in the Integration Directory.
