Externally assign value for a condition type

We have a requirement where we need to create a condition type in R3.

This then moves over to CRM

CRM will then populate the values for the condition type.

We are being told the condition type in R3 needs to be set to "externally assigned"?

Has anyone come across this before?

I have looked at the condition type and there does not seem to be an indicator for this.

I have not come across a situation where condition master data flows the other way- from CRM to R/3- That's what you meant right?

Is there a middleware T code (Like R3AC5) for it? Or you need to develop an object and a Bdoc? I am just curious.

Any ways, there is no setting like "externally assigned". Of course you should synchronize the config ( like Condition type, Name) in both ends and if this condition is not maintained in R/3 at all, then I guess you should set it up without access sequence and with 'Manual entry has priority' for manual settings.
