Hello,
Working on SAP SRM 7.0, recently updated patch to release 700.
We are always getting '0.00' target value on item level.
Any ideas on how to correct this error?
Thank you!
We are always getting '0.00' target value on item level
During RFx initial creation process, Target Value on header and item levels are both free input fields. It is zero until you change it.This field is more relevant during contract process.

A Bid Invitation/ RFx is created from a shopping cart through Sourcing cockpit screen. The target value does not get copied as the bid item value in the created Bid Invitation.
This note corrects the side effect resulted after the application of the note 1375782.
Note 1496458 - Target value given in RFx is visible to the bidder
Purchaser creates a RFx with some target value for the items and publishes the same. Bidder recieves the RFx and goes to the Item details in display mode. The issue is that the target value is displayed to the bidder as well.

Reason and Prerequisites
This is due to the program error. The target value was shown to the user irrespective of the user role.
Solution

Create Bid Invitation
Response BID
any changes done on Bid Inviatation
Let us wait for others reply
etc...
purchaser creates a bid invitation such that the item has the target bid value and holds/ publishes the same. If you make changes to any of the fields in the item details tab then the item value field in the bid invitation becomes zero.
Other terms
Zero, Bid invitation, publish, hold, item value, clear, item.
Reason and Prerequisites
This is because the item value was not passed to the bid invitation from the global field.
- another note says-
When you create a Bid Invitation(RFX), and add items from the catalog, the item price maintained in the catalog is copied to the target value for item. This value is visible to the bidder at the time of submitting the bid.
