Calculating SAPS for MDM`

Hello,

I am in charge of sizing and MDM landscape and would like to know how to calculate SAPS (which is what SAP uses for CPU rather than GHz).

It is defined as business-processed order line items multiplied by 100 (I believe).

How would I figure out how many "business-processed order line items" we have in our MDM system?

Thank you

Hi Nichole,

you can use following formula to evaluate the CPU required for the MDM server in SAPS.

f(x) = p*x

Where:

f(x) u2013 CPU throughput in SAPS

x u2013 Number of concurrent users (max tested = 150)

p u2013 Coefficient depends on repository type and the number of records in the primary table.

Please refer to MDM sizing Guide for more details with example. (page no 11, 3.2.1 CPU Sizing). Link for same is below:

Revert if you still have any query.

Best Regards,

Shiv

Also i found this in the sizing guide: (page no 13)

Minimum and recommended hardware layout for the Import Server, Syndication Server, and Layout Server:

HW component, CPU (SAPS) , Memory (GB)

CPU (SAPS) , 1600 , 4
