MDM_CLNT_EXTR -- Article Extraction

Hi All,

I am using MDM_CLNT_EXTR to extract all articles.

Extraction object: MATERIAL_RT_EXTRACT.

On executing my job finished successfully, but individual IDOC was generated for every article.

But it is supposed to generate One IDOC containing all Articles.

Please provide your inputs on the same.

Note: Article is similar to Material. (Article term is used in Retail Implementations)

It uses the IDOC Basic type: ARTMAS04

ARTMAS04 has only one E1BPE1MATHEAD segment in WE60 definition

doesn't it mean that it can only store one article ?

I never used it so I'm asking

That's correct. The ARTMAS Idoc is not mass capable. It's one record per IDoc.

Yes thats true, ARTMAS04 has only one E1BPE1MATHEAD segment in WE60 definition.

I assumed the standard SAP Extractor programs by some way accomadates more than one article in a IDOC.

So my assumption goes wrong.

I will process individual IDOCs for every article.

If there is any other better solution, kindly provide.

Navneeth,

You can use IDoc bundling or packing and can collect and send multiple IDoc in one go. You need to create XML File Port to achieve this. With PI 7.1 there are many enhancements for message packaging.

I feel, you will get lot of helpful information if you do a search in PI Forum.

Heyy Navneeth,

I am not sure but here BD10 is best practice for Article extraction.

you can probablly check at market place . follow below link as well

also try to validate your configuration you are setting just before extraction.
