Hi,
When creating a request I am very well aware that you can copy an existing SAP user by using the 'Model my access by' option. What I would like to understand is what exactly this functionality copies. Does it only allow you to copy the roles if the user or can you copy user defaults and favourites as well?
Please advise.
Regards,
Mo
Thanks for the input!
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
This is not in any way related to the SU01 copy function.
All it will do is create a request with the data you pick, i.e. you select the roles of a reference user. The good thing is that it will also identify roles the user already had, so you can avoid authorization creep.
Parameters etc. will be set by CUP, nothing that the original user has will be taken into account. Again this makes sure you specify exactly what a user should get instead of blindly copying 10 year old data.
Frank.
