Sending Japanese Character From XI to SAP 4.6C

Dear Expert,

I have a requirement here to send Japanese character from web application --> XI --> IDOC(in 4.6C).

However, it always fail, and I could only see garbage character.

I have tried the suggestion to put the logon language as JA in the RFC destination, but it is not working.

Please kindly help with your suggestion.

If you could see japanese characters in sxmb_moni and the problem occurs when sending out Idoc, then please select the unicode option in RFC destination and try. It might work!!

Hi ,

I am not sure about the answer but it might help you out.

See as far as i know UTF-8 has all the languages in it and japanese is one of them ......so you have to mention encoding as UTF -8 as the encoding in communication channel.See weather its geting populated.
