WM:RF scanning:Quantity scanning

hi,

In RF sanning, we are scanning Bin label and Material code for confirmation of Put away and picking TO.we are entering Quantity manually at the same time. now requirement is scan quantity also. How can i implement this. if i give the Bar code for quantity also in Material ID sticker. say while binning quantity is say 10 EA, the binner has to scan 10 times, then how the count will be increased? and by mistake he scanned twice the same material, total count will be wrong. how can we arrest the Duplicate scanning.

Why do you need to enter the quantity manually during confirmation if there is already a TO created for it ? Did you mean you posting defferences during confirmation ? If that is the case you can enter qty manually as this happens in rare cases.Scanning quantity is not a good practice as the stock quantity changes often upon partial picking ...

thanks for your feed back. Take example of putaway TO.

Binner takes the Material to Destination BIN. then He has to scan below for confimation of TO.

1.Bin Label

2.Material no

3.Quantity

Bin Label and Material no Having Bar codes and there is no problem. How to enter Quantity(either manually or Scanning)?

if there is difference in quantity then he has to enter the difference manually by F6 Key and post.But in general how to enter quantity by scanning?

Quantity is never scanned , it is manually entered after checking.If we assume for some time that you will scan quantity and it may happen that actual qty is less. SAP has provided check to enter qty. If the qty is less then you can post difference qty as in difference field.

This is standard practice.
