Hi Friends,

Need info on SharePoint, there is requirement of extracting documents from Sharepint in my project. Our company uses SharePoint as doucment management system. I want to use this system to integrate it with SAP ECC6.0 Project System module.

Please brief me about SharePoint installation/interfacing, its step by step integration with SAP Project system.

If I have to download a document of SAP Project system or from PS to Sharepoint thru Sharepoint then how can I do this?

Regards

As I know SharePoint supports iView for SAP servers as web-part on the page. You should activate Web DMS.

Hi Dmitry and Virendra and friends,

Could you please describe how to ACTIVATE DMS in PS. I have ecc 6.0 implemented. If this is activated then, I guess I can get documents from Sharepoing directly to PS.

thanks

you do not need to "activate" or set up DMS to get documents from sharepoint

As Dmitry has pointed pout it is standard component which needs to be configured

thanks Virendra and Dmitry,

could you please elaborate a bit more in terms of configuration of DMS. As I am trying to attach a document from DMS to WBSE in CJ20N, I am gettiing a message that 'You have not activated DMS'. I guess I might need help from BASIS guy as I might need to configure RFC etc. Is that so?

Hello Iaan;

You can make this integration with Microsoft SharePoint to SAP DMS with the DUET solution.

This is more complex than MOSS solution.

use the GOS button and create an external url link to the document in sharepoint (basically cut and paste the shortcut from the sharepoint document

this way from PS you can open the document residing in sharepoint

You answer has been helpful. But the document attached this way, I guess they cannot be viewed in standard reporting, they cannot be edited and CJ20n will not give you information right away as to where (what object) and what document is there.

By the way, could you please tell that if I have ecc 6.0 implemented and we don't use DMS (for PS), how much effort it will need to implement DMS. Or is it a standard functionality provided, I just to need to do some configuration?

THanks in advance.

DSM is a standart component. It is a cross-component aplication.

As per I know there is no standard integration between share point and SAP PS. For document Management SAP used DMS( Document Managment System ) If some itegration may be there than via that only.
