Solution Manager system not responding/dispatcher has stopped

There have been no changes to this instance however when we did a quick reboot the disp+work will not come up. Attached is the Dev_W0 file. Any help would be great. We have been down for two days waiting on SAP. We have done several reboot attempts and physically brought down the sever and nothing seems to be helping.

Thanks everyone I have found the solution from SAP. We needed to change the profile rsdb/ntab/irbdsize

Thanks again

Since the call to "db_ntinit" fails you may try to update the Oracle instantclient at a first step

Hi Markus,

The only changes made were a password parameter and we had renewed our SAPRouter certificate. Everyone here is now leaning to a shared memory issue but I'm not sure where to go on the sever to find this info.

The dispatcher can't allocate a shared memory segment.

What was changed before this happens?

Hello Stephanie,

I found this error

event handler db_init for event CREATE_SHM failed

So I think it's a memory related problem, but you posted too few details for understanding the problem in my humble opinion. Could you check the profile parameters? Could you please check the dev_disp and dev_ms log files too?

A little hint: you can make the log file content more readable by using the code tags < > around them

Regards, Valerio
