Terminate Action in CUP not working

Former Member

Hi All,

We have configured HR triggers in GRC CUP. The new hire and transfer rule work as expected. However, the terminate rule does not deactivate the records in the backend system. The process log does not have a record for the terminate action.

Any ideas on how to troubleshoot this problem?

Thanks,

Vinaya

Vinaya,

What do you mean by deactivating records? CUP only has actions for create account, change account, lock, unlock and delete account. So if you are doing any of the above actions, CUP should be able to perform the action in the backend system.

Well said ask the HR functioanl team perform the TERMINATE action on the HR system and run the background job to trigger the lock user /remove roles workflow from CUP.

Hi Alpesh,

I am sorry for not being clear enough. By deactivate i meants Lock and change account.

We have executed the terminate action in backend but nothing seems to happen in GRC....as there is no record of the action in the process logs.

Any ideas on what could have gone wrong? The HR team has confirmed that the infotypes used in Rule definition are appropriate.

Thanks,

When the HR functional team TERMINATE the user check if he is changing the date to a ( predate )

make sure to have this date after install date of your SAP GRC 5.3

Like for example if he terminates( dont remember correctly ), somewhere at the bottom they have to fill in date ( PA40/PA30)
