Visual Composer 6.0 installation

Hi,

We are using EP 6 SP16. I have all the below dc in my System info i.e. http://portal:port/monitoring/SystemInfo

com.sap.visualcomposer

sap.com com.sap.visualcomposer.BIKit

sap.com com.sap.visualcomposer.BIKitQV

sap.com com.sap.visualcomposer.portalcontent

I am unable to see a software component for VC?? What should I do for that???

I am still not able to access http://portal:port/VC

Its says "The requested resource does not exists". my SAP NW AS is on AIX server. Is there any limitation that VC will only work if the server is on a windows machine?

Any work around to make VC working? I need to start my application development ASAP.

Hi Shruti,

Please check the component information in your server whether Visual Composer software component are deployed or not.

Check the SCS file names for VC like VCFLEX, VCFRAMEWORK, VCBASE, VCKITGP, VCKITXX etc.

http://<HOST>:<PORT>/sap/monitoring/ComponentInfo

If those SCA file not deployed on your server, then you need to deploy before accessing Visual composer.

Once deployed the components, then access VC http://<HOST>:<PORT>/VC(Capital Letter)

The SC's are missing. I have two questions:

1) From where to download the SC's. I havent found it in Service Market place. If you can help with direct link, please.

2) Is it possible to install VC 6.0 on AIX server. Because as far as I have found, it can be installed only on Windows. My NW AS is on AIX OS

You can find the VC component from service market place -->> Downlaod -->> Support Packages and Patches -->> Support Packages and Patches - Entry by Application Group -->> SAP NetWeaver and complementary products ->> SAP NETWEAVER -->> SAP NETWEAVER 04 -->> Entry by Component --> Visual Composer -->> VISUAL COMPOSER 6.0

I am not sure about how to apply patches in AIX server. Please ask you basis team to deploy VC sca file in the server. I think willl be possible.

Your Basis should be able to deploy the SCAs onto the AIX server using SDM.
