Message no. QS150 : No validity period was selected for MIC

Hi,

We have created a MIC in QS21 / QS22 and it is saved. Immediately, without using anywhere we tried to change it by QS23. but it is giving an error "No validity period was selected for master inspection charac " Message no. QS150.

Please help me to resolve this issue asap.

The answer for the system responses are as follows;

1. The master inspection characteristic has not been created - the status is being created

2. You do not have authorization to edit the master inspection characteristic - no issues with authorisation

3. The master inspection characteristic is being used/has been used and cannot therefore be deleted - no where used.

Hi,

Check validity date in table QPMK for this MIC,

and then enter the valid validity date to make changes to MIC data.

I checked in QMPK table. entered the same date in QS23, but still I get the error. is there any note available for this error.

generally this msg comes when MIC is not in there. Check in display mode what is the status of MIC.

Check the Validity Period & Version of that MIC in QPMK.

Based on that, provide the latest Version & Validity date in QS23.

Please provide the SAP version which you are using. Also, refer below SAP note.

It talks about both Inspection method as well as MIC.

while entering the MIC in QS23 you have to enter the validity date means the date at which you have created the MIC.

then proceed.
