Query on Ehp1 update

Hi Techies,

We are in a plan to update our solution manager with latest patch set 24, currently we are running on patch 15.

What is the best approach to update our system, is it possible to update the system directly from SPS15 to SPS24?

If No, what are the steps in step by step update?

Hi,

Bring your current ABAP/JAVA stack to SPS17 and then patch them to SPS24 as you want. SPS18 + is considered as EHP so it is advisasle to bring your current solman stack to sps17.

I don have any specific document with step by step procedure but we can get if we do a search in smp.

Thanks for your quick update,

And already i have gone through the SAP Note mentioned above and i am not asking about step by step procedure.

Just i am asking about best approach (step by step update process to bring the system from SPS15 to SPS24).

Like I am planning to update the system as below:

1) Update ABAP+JAVA with SPS17

2) Update SPS18(Ehp1)

3) Update ABAP+JAVA with SPS24

Hi,

Approach which you mentioned is seems to be fine but you need to add one more step after step1, once you are on SAP17 then update your kernel to 701 release and then start EHP1 upgrade.
