FM/BAPI to create a travel request

Hi guys,

I need a BAPI to create a travel request .. right now i have the BAPI BAPI_TRIP_CREATE_FROM_DATA, but this one creates just a trip and not a trip request.

The same Bapi can be used. Only thing is you need to feed the Status field appropriately. it contains both approval and settlement status. By default the Bapi creates "Trip completed " and "to be settled" status

Approval status

1 Request Recorded

2 Request Approved

3 Trip Completed

4 Trip Approved

5 Request Awaiting Documents

6 Trip Awaiting Documents

Settlement status

0 Open

1 To Be Settled

2 Settled

3 Canceled

Unfortunately it does not work in my case.

If I go to PR01 tcode the trip is there ... if I go to TRIP TCODE I can see the trip there, but on subsequent activities just the action Create Travel request is possible .. while Change Travel request is expected -> the request is not created

Is there any other FM that can create travel requests from data?

you can use FITP_CREATE_TRIP_FROM REQUEST , It will create directly the trip request not travel expense

Thanks for the answer,

I've tried this for all posible combination of the status fields and i'm still not able to create the request ... the trip is created succesfully though.

Any other suggestions?

We dont use this FM.

But before my reply i tested this FM in sandbox and i was able to create travel request easily by assigning status 1,1 or 2,1

Could you please try again.
