Hi SRM Experts,
We implemented SRM-MDM Catalog 3.0 SP05 together with SRM 7.0 SP05. Currently we cannot create contracts using items from the catalog. We are successful in creating shopping carts, RFX or purchase order using catalog items. It's only for contracts that we encounter this issue. Below is the error message that appears after we click the check-out button from SRM-MDM:
No items were copied from the catalog
Message no. BBP_CTR080
Diagnosis
The following are possible reasons why the catalog item(s) have not been transferred:
1. The OCI interface of the catalog has not been properly maintained
2. Missing settings for the Content Integrator (CI)
System Response
Catalog items are not included in the contract. Error messages are written to the message log.
We are using the standard OCI mapping delivered upon installation.
I hope you could help me resolve this problem as the direction of the company is to use SRM-MDM catalog
Thanks and regards;

Hi,
Please check the catalog item has Supplier Parts Number or Product Master. Please also check Logical System for Catalog is same as SRM logical system. I think some data related error. Debugging is fast way for finding root cause.

Masa

Hi
My assumption:- since question is not clear.
1 you created a shopping cart request via MDM catalogs.
2. you could not turn to contract this request ( sc)
or
3. you could not convert this SC- RFX - into Contract.
when and at which step you get this error
are you trying to create what type of contract. did all settings done for contract ?

Hi Muthu,
Thank you for your quick response.
Our issue is with regards to creating contracts directly from SRM-MDM Catalog. (We are able to convert shopping carts from catalog to RFX or contract.) Below are the steps that we do when we create contracts from catalog:
1. From Buyer's Portal view, click 'Strategic Purchasing' tab.
2. Select 'Contract Management' node.
3. Click 'Create Contract' link.
4. Select contract type and click Start button.
5. Click 'Add Items' button and select SRM-MDM Catalog link from the dropdown list. This brings us to the SRM-MDM Catalog screen.
6. Select catalog item and click 'Add to Cart'.
7. Click 'Check Out' link. This brings us back to the 'Create Contract' screen.
In the ' Create Contract' screen, no item was transferred and instead the error message 'No items were copied from catalog. Error occured while transferring catalog data' is displayed.
I hope the question is now clear. Thanks.
Hi
Note 1476593 - Issues with adding items from catalog
Now i could understand the problem well.
you could transfer a data from catalog to SC well but not for contract.
let us try.
Any error in SLG1?
Note 1116366 - Error msg not shown when adding incomplete item from catalog
Is it applicable for you.
o.k
Dont add the vendor in the header data . first go to item data add one item to contract from catalog and see.
- Are Buyer inherit CAT value too?
-Are you transfering a material or material group from catalog to Contract Business Object.?
- CREATE A SC FROM CATALOG AND CREATE A CONTRACT FROM SHOPPING CART - Can you do the same?
Muthu
Hi Muthu,
SAP Note 1476593 is not valid for our system since it concerns service items and is for Release 701 (we are in Release 700)
SAP Note 1116366 is applicable for Release 600 only.
We can successfully create contracts using shopping carts with catalog items.
In SLG1 there is no log for catalog interface (grayed out).
Thanks.
Hi
Jason and masa :- Do you have any thoughts?
in the OCI Mapping button to map the the fields in the catalog repository with OPI Structure to transfer the fields to the SAP shopping cart .
hope you got it now like wise you may need to map for Contract.
Did you pull the materials in from ECC to SRM or not ? which you are going to create a contract
