Dear All,

In the customer, I can see the field "Customer Group 1 to Customer Group 5" under Extras -> Additional data. What is the use of these fields.

Similarly, in the material master also, we have "Product Attributes 1 to Product Attrributes 10". What is the use of these fields.

Please explain me.

Regards,

Mullairaja

Dear,

1) Customer Group : In the customer master record you can freely define up to ten different kinds of attributes to provide additional information about the customer.

2) Product Attributes : When you enter this material in a sales document, the system checks if the ship-to party accepts this product attribute. In Customizing, you must specify by sales document type how the system should react if the ship-to party does not accept the product attribute.

Sandip

1) Customer group (SD) is a definable grouping of customers for pricing or statistical purposes. For example, a customer group can be made up of wholesalers or retailers.

2) Product attribute (SD) specifies whether the customer accepts the product attribute when you create a sales document for the customer. For example, if you create a sales order for a customer and enter a material which has a specific product attribute, the system checks whether the customer accepts this product attribute. In Customizing, you must specify for each sales document type how the system should react if a customer does not accept a product attribute.

Hope this can assist you in understanding.

Thanks & Regards

HI

Customer group 1 to 5 can be defined in

SPRO--Sales and Distribution-Master Data--Business Partners--Customers---Sales---Maintain Reserve Fields In Customer Master

After defining here you can enter the same in Customer master or in Sales Order Additional Data 1 Tab.

Similarily for Product attributes
