customization in APO

Hi,

I have been following this forum for the last few months. However I dont recollect ever coming across a development object which leads to a Z transaction. Like for example /zsapapo/mat1 or /zsapapo/rrp3. Is that because no one ever creates any custom transactions in APO ? Has anyone ever created a z tcode in APO ?

Hi GS,

In general, there is no much requirements and necessity for a business

to create custom transactions as we have many BADI's, user exits,

enhancements provided by SAP in order to cater the custom

requirements of a business.

For custom reporting kind of requirements, there are standard

queries, cubes, BW in place to derive those.

We do have APO Z TCodes but those are not just a copy of standard TCodes because that does not mean when we have std.

We have Z TCode for maintaining table for custom split required by business,also for maintaining Characteristic combination entries in a table which are then read for CVC creation and Z code for upload of existing combinations in CVC cube during golive.

Also in R/3 we have some Z Tcodes which read tables and format them in a report for Routings,Workcentres and BOM etc.

So it is a business need if standard TCodes are not satisfying the special requirement then you can extend it by Z TCodes.

Hi,

We did create Z transaction for maintaing product split table. This was an important development, which was done with SAP's help.

The standard transaction /SAPAPO/MC7B was not able to cater to the requirements.
