Hello ,
I am doing the sytem copy Import using SAPinst and would like to know if any could help how i can allocate tablespace (db oracle) to avoid import failure due to running out of space on the sapdata mountpoints. I am looking at the screen for oracle data configuration screen in SAPinst which has three rows ...table space name, size, sapdata directory...I am showing there are 4 data directories sapdata1 sapdata2 ......and so on. There are "Add" "Remove" "Back" "next" button in the bottom, any suggestions?
If you exported the system there'll be a DBSIZE.XML file in the DB/ORA directory of the export dump. This file is created by R3szchk on the source system before you export.

Well, if you are performing a system copy, then you should know at least the size of the source database... If you take that as a reference, then you should always be on the safe side...
Kind regards,
