Connecting to SAP Server

Dear Experts,

I have purchased a new SAP server from one of the vendors. The server is started and I am able to access SAP from the server.

Now I am trying to access the SAP server from my laptop. when I click "Log on", I get the error Partner "192.10.151.23 not reached".

Kindly advice what could be the problem.

Hi Tom,

You need to test whether you are able to ping your server or not (RUN >> Ping <host name>). If it is successful, then

you need to update your server IP address and host name in host file and services file entry at (Start > RUN > drivers > etc > host file)

Host file entry like

111.111.111.111 XYZ

Service file entry like

sapms<SID> 36<systemnumber>/tcp
