Start MaxDB database failed !

I can't start the minisap because Start MaxDB database failed !

Please see below. Can someone help pls.

PS: Windows Vista home, 4 GB Ram, 22 GB free disk space. I dont have any back up

-> Please post output of the dbm command "param_getvolsall".

-> Please check KnlMsg file for more details. Post the results of the check.

What file/disk was not accessible, when the error occurred.

Hi Natalia,

I dont know how to run the dbm command "param_getvolsall".

I checked KnlMsg file (below) . It seems to get problem on file F:\sapdb\NSP\data\DISKD0005.

This File is about 2,4 GB.

I have tried the dbm command, but i dont know the correct username and pw.

F:\sapdb\programs\pgm>dbmcli -d NSP -u control,control param_getvolsall

As you wrote u201CI dont have any back upu201D, you donu2019t know the DBM user/password for NSP database and

F:sapdbNSPdataDISKD0005 datavolume is corrupted or invalid, it has bad page info and database kernel

could not read it according KnlMsg file

=>

Itu2019s looking that your system is lost.

A) If you are SAP customer & have important data to check if could be repaired, then create the SAP message and agree to pay for the analysis. There are NO guarantee for data restore, Itu2019s dependent of the disk damage.

B) Please pay attention to this case & plan the backup/recovery procedure of the database before you will use it.

Oh,my system is really lost. That means I must install my MiniSap again? Or do you have another solution? Maybe initializing the database?

But I dont know how, because i cant logon the database more. I have tried:

I dont need to restore the database because I have the copies of all my important ABAP objects.

Could you tell me pls, what is the best way to get the miniSap running ?
