How to reset local password in MI client for PDA

hi experts

anyone knows how to reset the local password of a user in Mobile Client for PDA.

I have used the parameters (in configuration.properties):

com.sap.tc.mobile.sync.passwordhandling

MobileEngine.Security.ResetLocalLogonPassword

without any result (as seen in the article "Password Handling on SAP NetWeaver Mobile Client")

Apparently the article "Password Handling on SAP NetWeaver Mobile Client" is valid only for laptop.

any ideas?

It depends on the container you are using too.

This property "com.sap.tc.mobile.sync.passwordhandling

MobileEngine.Security.ResetLocalLogonPassword" is supported for PDA client with OCA Container.

This is implemented in later SP's.

Please confirm if the current thing is supported in the SP Client you are using.

Can you please tell which client & version, are you using?

Reset Logon Password is only enabled after log-in as a menu option for Manage Passwords in the container.

Thanks for the replies.

The container used is of type OCA.

The client I use is for PDA (handset device) in SPs 9.

But the parameters do not enable the password reset.

Some idea of the problem?

Hi Andres,

please try this parameter

"MobileEngine.UserManagement.resetlocallogonpasswordsupport"

Possible values for the parameter are true and false

In OCA Container, only way to reset password is thru the container using MANAGE PASSWORDS Menu option.

There is no configuration property required, You should only do it from the container.
