SAP SOLUTION MANAGER 7.0 EHP 1 - need to update the stack?

I'm trying to understand the enhancement pack concept and what I need to do to update our solution manager.

currently we are on:

SAP SOLUTION MANAGER 7.0 EHP 1 - Stack 21

ST-ICO 150_700: patch 0022

CPRXRPM 400: patch 0015

CRMUIF 500: patch 0003

PI_BASIS Support Package 04 for 7.01

BI_CONT 704: Support Package 04

ABA Support Package 04 for 7.01

Basis Support Package 04 for 7.01

ST 400: Patch 0021, CRT for SAPKU50015

ST-SER 701_2008_2: patch 0005

ST-PI 2008_1_700: SP 0001

SAP_AP 700: Support Package 0016

Support Package 15 for SAP CRM 5.0

BW Support Package 04 for 7.01

I understand the current stack is 24. Is this also EHP 1 ?

I believe I need to update to stack 24 in order to stay current. Is that correct?

In addition, EarlyWatch indicates that the ST-A/PI is missing. Actually it exists but is not the current package. I believe by updating the stack, the ST-A/PI will also be updated. Is this correct?

Should I update the stack to 24? or just update the ST-A/PI?

Thanks

Yes, check SAP note 1244225.

Yes. Current support package for ST-A/PI is ST-A/PI 01M_CRM570.

SAP always suggest to be on current support package. But I always prefer to upgrade to n-1 strategy.

Thanks

Thanks Sunny, again, you have answered my questions. I was also thinking it might be best to do the n-1 plan. This is our first stack update so I'm open to all ideas and best practices. I hope, now, we can stay current with a regular maintenance update quarterly, rather then a few year later!
