Defect code of Notification

Hi expert,

I would like to understand system's behavior for defect code of QN.

For Q1 type in SPRO we have assigned profile - ABC1.

Now this profile contain for defect type 9 we have assigned catalog code A-* and B-*.

Now my question;

Now when we create Q1 enter material, plant, vendor.

We go to enter defect code in defect tab. Now for some material & plant combination system shows Defect code starting with A-* in drop down menu.

For some material & plant combination it shows code with B-*,

while for some combination system shows Defect code starting with A-* & B-* both.

Why system behave like this? where is setting for this kind of behavior?

as per my knowlegde there must be only 1 reson for this.

check material master quality view, in that check whether catalog profile in maintained.this catalog profile may be having only 1 defect code.

ori n inspection plan charcateristics, in catalog, check whether any catalog and code group in maintained
