Hi, we're just embarking on an upgrade (from SRM 2.0 up to SRM 5.0) and having a few problems with the system landscape.
This may be a really daft question but is it possible to create a config copy of an SRM system without copying the data?
Thanks
If your SRM is integrated with ECC..try not to copy the Material Master, Vendor Master. We had issues when we tried to create a client copy while trying to dump the entire data.

Satya

Stuart,
Yes it is possible, depends upon your definition of config only copy, our BASIS do it for us.
Be aware though that your master data can dissapear, in some areas it is considered master data and other parts it is config data, the differentiation is sometimes vague.
Options for copying clients provided by SAP are:-
SAP_ALL All Client-Specific Data w/o Change Documents
SAP_APPL Customizing and Application Data w/o Change Docs
SAP_APPX SAP_APPL w/o Authorization Profiles and Roles
SAP_CUST Customizing
SAP_CUSTX Customizing w/o Authorization Profiles and Roles
SAP_PROF Only Authorization Profiles and Roles
SAP_UCSV Customizing and User Master Records and User Variants
SAP_UCUS Customizing and User Master Records
SAP_UONL User Without Authorization Profiles and Roles
SAP_USER User Master Records and Authorization Profiles
We are using SRM550 don't know if these option are available in SRM 2.0?
Don't know what the transaction is as our Basis won't tell me they will only tell me the choices but I am sure someone on the forum will know what it is.
Hope this helps
Allen
