Just as information: 4.7x2000 is out of support already.

If you have no clue what to do in which order I can just HIGHLY suggest getting a SAP consultant on-site and do the migration with him. This public forum can give suggestions but it's not our task here to provide you with "step-by-step" instructions. Each system is different, each setup is different, that's why SAP installation guides don't contain screenshots.

You can start reading

Note 960769 - Windows: Migration from 32-bit to 64-bit (x86_64)

and the installation guides. For a production migration I would get a consultant to help you.

Also see note [905634 - Release planning for Microsoft SQL Server 2005|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/905634]

It describes the minimum SAP_BASIS support package levels to run on SQL Server 2005.

Minimum SAP_BASIS support package level is 57 for SAP_BASIS 6.20, and 15 for SAP_BASIS 6.40

Hi,

I have given the step by step.

1) Upgrade MSSQL 2005 in source system (old/present)

2) install windows 2003 64bit in target system (New)

3) Install MSSQL 2005 in target system (64bit)

4) Install SAP Central instance with 64bit Kernel.

5) Take Full backup on old system

6) Restore the Datafiles in new system with the option attached.

7) Run STM tool.

😎 If required Run SGEN (Change Database as SIMPLE)

Thanks

Jibin.
