error while loading initial data ( Enter compatible file format) in ERM

Hello All,

When we are loading initial Data Files in the ERM after upgrading the patch level to SP12 from SP00 (GRC ACCESS CONTROL 5.3), we are getting error as X Enter compatible file format.

We are performing this activity as miscellaneous tab is throwing error as below.

500 Internal Server Error SAP J2EE Engine/7.01

Application error occurred during request processing.

Details: java.lang.NullPointerException: null

Exception id: [F4CE46B401A400690000003E00000A1C00048B53FD09C4AA]

we are following OSS Note 1255303 - Miscellaneous page cannot be found in ERM, but wile importing RE_init_clean_insert_data, we are getting error as X Enter compatible file format, the file format is in XML.

Please help..!

Ranadhir,

I'm assuming you are using the latest XML files that came with Support Pack 12 and not the file from a prior support pack?

If so, then try a full reboot of the application and database--maybe even the server itself. You might also try clicking the "Refresh Cache" button for all the caches in Configuration --> Administration.

Hi Dylan,

The problem was with XML files, they were corrupted. we downloaded again using download manager. this time it worked
