We have a requirement where customers start getting higher discounts as the number of units they buy increases over a period of time. They do not have to buy more in a single order to get the higher discount but the more they buy over several orders the higher their discount gets. Here is how the scheme works:
>
> e.g if they buy 1st unit of Material ABC (Discount $0) they pay $ 2495 ea
> if they buy 2nd unit of Material ABC (Discount $50) they pay $2445 ea
> if they buy 3rd unit of Material ABC (Discount $100) they pay $2395 ea
> if they buy 4th unit of Material ABC (Discount $150) they pay $2345 ea
> if they buy the 5th unit and beyond of Material ABC (Discount $200) they pay $2295 ea
>
> The system needs to keep track of how many units they have bought over the course of this promotion and offer the discount accordingly. They do not have to buy more units in a single order to get the higher discount.
