File Adapter not picking the file

Former Member

Hi Experts,

I am trying to create a Legacy-XI-R/3 scenario. I am using a file adapter as the sender communication channel and a ABAP proxy at the receiver end. I have given the path of my input file in the legacy system, but the file is not picked up by the adapter. Can any one tell me where I might have gone wrong?

Thanks,

Hi,

Just want to add one more suggestion.

Check the Host name, where the File is kept and try to use the directory path as

<HostName>\<DirName>.

Hope this help.

Hi Jai,

Check in sxmb_moni, if there is a inbound message received. Also check in adapter monitoring of RWB if the FTP adapter has a problem. Is the adapter in active state?

Check the permissions for the folder i which the file has been placed.

Hi,

Just reiterating, if your file adapter is green, then check

1. The Direcotry path

2. The file name

Try activating the file adapter again and see if it's picking the file.

Hi Jai,

As mentioned earlier, just check the read-write permissions and is the ftp adapter that you are using is on your local server, then the path to be given is slightly different...instead of c:\.., it will be \..
