Hi,

In AIX,

Command df -k will list all the file system in the server with the disk space information in KB.

command df -g will list all the file system in the server with the disk space information in GB.

So if the file system is 90% used, either we have increase the partition space or delete unwanted log files in the partition, if there is any.

Hi Swathi,

can u please provide me with the directories mounted in filesystem qty/hd1 and qty/hd4

You can mount different directories to filesystem. the filesystem occupancy depends on the mounted directory. Wihtout knowing which directory is mounted on the mentioned file systems, we cannot conclude the reason of high usage. By executing the command df -k, you can find which directory is mounted to these filesystems. Please check this and revert back.

Rasim.

Hi

ORACLE, AIX

if you want to see file system at OS level please use command df-h in GB

at SAP level u can see using ST04 tcode

for tablespace user db02 tcode and analyse and add datafiles which required

and in st02 u can analyse buffer problems change paramter accordingly

Please revert back if u need more info

Thanks,

HI,

#cd /usr

#du -s *

which will give you size details of the all the folder and sub folders.Based upon that you can investigate or drill down what can be done further.

Thanks

Hi Swathi,

Normally directories / and /home have very less growth , so you can ignore it currently.

Check in the directory usr/sap for unwanted log files which can be removed or you have to increase the partition space.

for example you can remove the core file from the path usr/sap/<sid>/DVEMBGS<nn>/work
