remove View Link in CUP emails

Former Member

Hi,

We would like to remove the View link which comes with the emails sent to the approvers. Problem is that this link is taking the approver to the CUP URL and then he/she is asked for username and password. We have created iview for CUP in portal and authentication should be done via portal and want the user to click on the link for Portal. Can anyone kindly suggest as to either how we can remove this link from emails or can modify the URL embedded to this link to the Portal URL instead of CUP.

Regards, Ben

Hello ,

You can configure the portal link in Configuration ->workflow ->SMTP Server -> Application URL.

Hello Ranjiv,

I tried to put the following URL in the application URL:

http://SERVER:PORT/irj/portal

However, when the email is sent i get the following link in them:

http://SERVER:PORT/irj/index.jsp?verifyApproverLogin.do%3FQUUuY252QXBwcm92ZVJlcXVlc3Quc2NyUmVxdWVzdE...

&

http://SERVER:PORT/irj/index.jsp?loadRequestStatusSearch.do

CUP is embedding the additional URL after the Portal URL in the mail.

How can i get the application to send only the Portal URL. or any other way using which the email directs the user to the portal.

Regards, Ben

Sorry, but that's not how it works.

The Redirect URL will only be picked up by the GRC redirect application that is used in a Single SignOn context. It's use to automatically sign in the user to CUP and then append the request URL so that the user gets to the request without having to log in again.

There is no way to get the portal URL into the emails.

Ben,

having said the above, there is a service by SAP consulting that lets you use the Portal's Universal Worklist to host the open Requests. You would then not receive EMails through CUP but see the requests in the portal directly.

Let me know by email if that's something that's interesting to you.
