Dear All,
I know that in the standard system we don't have an access sequence assigned at the header level. I have gone through the previous posts in the forum but could not come across a satisfactory answer. Can somebody please answer why the standard SAP does not have an access sequence assigned at the header level?

Hi ,
Access sequence is a searching strategy in sap based on different combination of fields.
In the item level only , System can search for the combination what we are assigning.
In the header level , It is common for all the items . Then , How can header level have Access Sequence ?.. Just think .

Hi Deepak
You may also want to look at group conditions.
These are conditions which are relevant to all the lines in the document. For instance, you may want to have a sales discount with a volume scale that is based on all the line items.
Do a search on the forums, there is plenty on this topic.

Hiii
Header Condition is manual condition and it is applicable for all, now question why SAP made it manual only,
For example all the case u want to keep the freight charges same for all material, or discount same for all material, Now in material plant, shipping point, purchasing customerr can be different and varies from material to material. But you dont want to varies or restrict based on any critria to give discount. For Same you dont want to make condition record for each time based on critria,
Another example you want to give discount on sales specific to your customer based on business e.g after two sales order third one you want to give discount 5% to your customer then again from forth one no discount so that case if u make condion recored system will give discount each time. So SAP provide manual condition for providing discount anytime in any sales order without condition record or access boundation.
So Header condition is document specific which is applicable for all, not bound with any condition to access
Whereas Item conditon is Item specifica which is bound with condition to access.

Dear,
At header level, It is the group of alll the condition of item level. If you see in sales order you can maintained price at item level. because every item have different price. and the total of this price is maintained in header level.
