hey!

how does system schedule the dates after partial confirmation if no forecast finish date is mentioned.

is there any way to calculate the forecast finish date on the basis of actual work done!

how does system schedule the dates after partial confirmation if no forecast finish date is mentioned.: If no forecast finish date is mentioned during partial confirmation, there will be no reschduling as system will assume you are still going to finish the job by shceduled finish date. If your actual start date while entering the partial confirmation is not exceeding the scheduled finish date, then no rescheduling will takes place.

is there any way to calculate the forecast finish date on the basis of actual work done! - There is no way to calculate the forecast finish date, it has to be put manually.

Hi Aamir,

see consulting note 151551 about scheduling.

Case 1. 'shift order' is set.

Earliest finish = earlist start + remaining duration.

Case 2 'shift order' is not set.

Earliest finish = is_finish + remaining duarion.

And for both cases:

reamining duration = planned duration - is_duration.

If you have not entered any forecast finish date or duration during partial confirmation, then earliest finish date of the activity is calculated as, EF = Actual start date from partial confirmation + Planned duration of the activity.

Forecaset finish date is eithere manually entered for scheduling purpose or it can be derived based on The work (forecast) maintained, you can get more details of the same in 207790 & 543362.
