New Adaptive Model needs instance server0 restart?

Former Member

Hi all,

We have reimported a model from the R/3 system, on a client.

It all works fine if we restart the instance server0 after all changes are made in the backend system, but if we don't restart netweaver's instance server0, our applications will not work after deployed.

Is there any service that we can refresh/restart (on the portal) so that the instance's WSDL are properly refreshed and we avoid to have to restart the whole instance?

We're talking about NetWeaver 7.1.

Best regards,

Paulo Rosa

Hi,

Actual problem because of Meta-data cache, if you refresh the meta-data cache your problem will solve,

it can be done it 2 ways

1>Refresh cache with Webdynpro Console

Go thr below link, i hope it will help you

http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/10465350-b4f5-2910-61ba-a58282b3b...

2>Restart the server as you said.

My suggestion is to always restart the server

Thanks,

Sreeni.

Hi Sreeni,

Thank you for your reply. I have awarded you points for explanation on things I didn't know.

After speaking with my administrator I was told that we do not use JCo destinations. He told we have a destination defined on Visual Administrator, a lot like "DEFAULT_WS_DEST".

Is there another way to invalidate the model cache?

Regards,

Paulo
