Hi all,
We want to configure SAP to use our MS exchange server for e-mail.
Our servers are hosted by an external company, so we would like to know if e-mail are kept on the server or just relayed to the Exchange server. We have a contract an we don't want to use more space than allowed.
What is the extra volume generated by that kind of configuration?
Are attachments kept in the server?

It doesn't really matter if the mail is stored locally in the SAP system or not.
SAP is NOT a mail server system, so mails are relayed to an external mail server.
That would include attachments etc.

You should ask the company that is hosting your exchange.....
